Catching up with my friend Lily while we made these delicious energy balls was the perfect way to start Friday morning (after a long walk in this beautiful sunshine!) Snacking – and how it becomes incessant – has always been my weak point, so today’s chat with Lily was very relevant, especially being at home right now! We spoke about how to snack well for energy and productivity, delved into the joys of eating nuts and nut butters but not overeating and about the balanced nutrition of our meals. We also touched upon coffee, tea and matcha, why we need fibre as well as the basics of spices for cooking!

I’ve had lots of messages asking for the recipe. So here’s Lily’s FAFF-FREE COCOA + NUT BUTTER BALLS – I’m addicted:

Makes around 10 balls
50g oats
75g peanut or almond butter
2-3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp chia seeds, optional
1-2 tbsp desiccated coconut to roll the balls in
